Bio

I am a Kundalini yoga teacher. I am also a student. I study shamanism, chi gung, Emotional Freedom Technique, herbalism and other wise woman healing ways, human behavior, and the ancient wisdom of many cultures. I continue to contemplate my life to determine the motivations behind my unconscious or habitual actions and thoughts, and I continue working to clear and release old patterns of behavior and old ways of being that no longer serve me. I intend to continue this process until the day I die. For if I were to stop this process, if I were to declare "I am finished with my inner work," it would be an indication that my ego has taken the reins of my life. I could no longer make any claim of humility.

In the pursuit of "Truth," I have observed some interesting things about how humans behave, and I have learned a few techniques for making life go a little easier. That is the most I will claim to know. For as soon as you claim to truly "Know" then something is sure to challenge the assumption. This again is the ego asserting itself.

The word "Truth" implies something immutable, constant. Perhaps a better term would be "Working Assumption." Here in my journal pages, I will seek to share with you some of my working assumptions. I hope you can make use of them, and I look forward to reading your comments. Please remember that, although at times I may state my assumptions as though they were the "Truth," in fact, I see them as a work in progress. For "Truth" can easily become dogma when it is vehemently adhered to.

I started teaching Kundalini yoga in 2000. I love this style of yoga more than any other because it is such an incredible tool for dealing with specific issues in your life, including physical, emotional, mental, financial, interpersonal, and even ancestral and karmic issues. Kundalini yoga has given me many valuable tools to improve my life.

Edward, my husband, is also a Kundalini yoga instructor. We met at the 3HO Ashram in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a student in my first official yoga class. We were married in May 2002. I am blessed to have such a wonderful husband. He is thoughtful and compassionate, patient and kind. And very funny. We laugh a lot. Sometimes my sides hurt from laughing. We love to write parody lyrics for well-known songs or even yoga chants. Together, we do energy healing work (using Reiki and other modalities), spirit removal and house blessings.

I teach three yoga classes each week in Arizona. In addition, I teach workshops on Trauma Release and Emotional Freedom Technique. The rest of my time is devoted to my personal yoga practice, healing and spiritual work, and I sell used books and other items on Ebay. If you would like to check out my Ebay store, it is called Crone’s Aquarian Book Emporium.
